Also known as Sonic Boom (yes really), Sega’s new redesign for the Sonic the Hedgehog series has now been shown with a game announced for the foreseeable future. And oh boy are some Sonic fans probably not going to like the end result… Basically, they’ve aged up Sonic and the other characters and made them look like strange teen style cartoon characters in a way to make the new tie in cartoon show seem all different and interesting. Just watch the video and see the ‘unusual’ change in the full post!
Like the official US TV commercial for the game (it’s better than you’d ever expect), a video of the polar bear boss fight and even the first ever video in which you can hear this game’s remix of Stickerbrush Symphony from Donkey Kong Country 2! So if you want to see awesome TV commercials, watch footage of one of the later worlds and see mean looking bears get beaten up in an argument over ice cream, keep reading this news post!
They’re all in Japanese of course (having been released by Nintendo of Japan just earlier today for whatever unknown reason), but they’re still absolutely brilliant regardless. So if you want to see some really, really amazing footage of the upcoming game in action, watch the three videos you can find in the full article after the break!
In a move that should surprise absolutely no one, Nintendo posted a new trailer for Yoshi’s New Island online just earlier today, likely to promote the game just a month or two before its inevitable release date. But while the video doesn’t show any bosses and late game hellscape levels, it does most definitely show quite a few interesting new things present in the upcoming title. What new things are they? Well, continue reading to find out!
Right from the Japanese official site for the game, which went online just day and posted a whole bunch of new trailers of the upcoming game, complete with footage of early world levels and all the characters! Keep reading to see the video…
Well, Sega call it a trailer anyway. It’s most definitely not what anyone else considers one. Either way, here’s Sega Europe’s official trailer for the Yoshi’s Island Zone DLC in Sonic Lost World. It’s certainly an orignal one with a lot of charm.
Well, they technically did this at about 2pm yesterday, but I had enough to write about with all the 3DS games and Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze, hence why I’m posting the official news post now. Either way, it’s a rather interesting new Legend of Zelda spinoff which mixes the world of said franchise with the gameplay of the Dynasty Warriors series, so keep reading to find out more!
It’s been way, way overdue now (the game has had literally no updates of importance since its announcement at E3 this year), but now Nintendo has finally shown a new trailer for Mario Kart 8. And boy does this game look fantastic!
As it is now, Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze has shown a lot of the things people want in the series. You’ve got Dixie Kong as a playable character, Cranky Kong as playable for the first time, David Wise returning to compose music, an interesting new set of villains more menacing than the tikis… it’s pretty much everything everyone has wanted from a new game in the series. But now with today’s Nintendo Direct, the game is looking even better!
From a mixture of the Iwata Asks interview based on the game, and Nintendo’s latest Instagram ad for it, which this time acts as a 30 second trailer rather than a comparison. Want to see the videos? Head inside and read the entire article to watch them for yourself!
