That’s what a fairly well known UK retailer has down for it anyway, with retailer Littlewoods listing the upcoming Wii U racer as coming out in April 25th 2014. But is this accurate? Is there any good reason to believe them? Well read on and you’ll find out…
Recently on the internet (aka that place where people seem to believe anything they read), a rumour was going around that Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze had been delayed to February 2014. It was covered by quite a few other Nintendo sites (mostly ones like GoNintendo and Nintendo Everything), and quite a few people understandably freaked out and said Nintendo’s Wii U was doomed this holiday season.
According to BulbaNews, the Spanish ONM has confirmed the old ‘rumour’ that Inkay evolves when you hold the 3DS upside down and Pancham evolves when a Dark type Pokemon is in the party at the same time. Here’s their message on Twitter about it: Unconfirmed: Spanish ONM has revealed that Inkay evolves while holding the 3DS upside-down, and Pancham with a Dark type in the party — BulbaNewsNOW (@BulbaNewsNOW) September 9, 2013
Take a look at this chart I found posted on a forum online. It’s rumoured to be a full list of the Mega Evolutions from X and Y, and has an absolute ton of Pokemon that are supposedly due to get such a form: Not too bad eh? Well, then you see one of the Pokemon in the picture more closely… Garchomp?
Yes, it’s that time again! Despite about four different sources all posting their own crazy ‘ideas’ about what the new Zelda game on Wii U would be like and being wrong all those times, yet another gaming website has posted what they claim to be ‘insider information’ about the game. So what are they saying? What does it mean? Let’s have a look… First of all, note the name ‘The Legend of Zelda – Book of Hyrule’. Already, it seems like something be skeptical of, given how few Zelda games focus on books as important items in any sense. And hey, the name ‘book of [whatever]‘ is another of a cliche that I suspect it was chosen just because the […]
As many people have figured out, the terms a company trademarks can easily be indicative of some plan they have ready to go ahead with in the nearby future, with new trademarks often being filed for things like new character names, franchise titles and other stuff. But did you know Nintendo/the Pokemon company filed a bunch of trademarks that could be hinting to future Mega Evolutions? Yep, just take a look at this list of recent Pokemon related trademarks: Charizard Blastoise Gengar Kangaskhan Pinsir Jynx Gyarados Aerodactyl Mewtwo Ampharos, Scizor Houndoom Tyranitar Heracross Gardevoir Absol Medicham Banette Latias Latios Aggron Abomasnow As you can clearly see, a good portion of these correspond to Pokemon that Game Freak has just announced […]
Recently, an interesting ‘image’ has been going around Nintendo communities and 4chan and appears to show a rather King K Rool esque character in viking get up, and IGN logo. Here’s the mysterious picture: It’s not very clear, and it’s unknown what connection the picture has with IGN (if any at all), but the figure in the background does look quite a bit like a humanoid crocodile creature with a similar figure to King K Rool but with some viking style tweaks. And the 14th of July date does make it appear like this is some major plot twist Nintendo is planning to reveal in a month or so time (perhaps along with the fourth playable character). So is this […]
Remember this image from a year or so ago? You know, the one listing the following games as coming to the Wii U sometime in future? Here’s the list again for those of us who’ve forgotten: Super Mario Wii U Metroid Zombie Yoshi’s Land Wii U FlipNote Studio Donkey Kong Wii Fit Soul Hackers Resident Evils Metal Gear Solid Final Fantasy 3 Dragon Quest 10 Well in retrospect, it seems like the list might be pretty accurate (with the potential exception of Metal Gear Solid). Super Mario Wii U? Zombie? Well, there is talk of a ZombiU follow up in the works at some point. Metroid? Nothing yet as far as I can tell, but it’s early days still. And […]
Just recently, an interesting ‘screenshot’ of Nintendo’s presentation description on Youtube has been posted online. Here’s the picture: And as you can tell, it seems to list the types of games you’d expect to see at Nintendo’s E3 Nintendo Direct presentation. You’ve got Super Smash Bros 4, Mario Kart, Mario, The Legend of Zelda… But I’m skeptical. Why? Let me explain: The times listed for each presentation seem dodgy. Five whole minutes for New Super Luigi U? That’s literally just downloadable content with only a few changes outside of level design. Doesn’t seem plausible. Just two minutes for all Sonic stuff? Seems too tight. And I’m not sure they’d call it ‘New Super Smash Bros’ rather than the game’s actual […]
