As per the official UK trailer for the game, which also gives a November 28th release date for the first wave of Amiibos. Here’s the trailer:
There’s not much in the way of new Smash Bros for Wii U footage, but it does point out that the following Amiibos will be available this year:
Wii Fit Trainer
So yes. Now that Super Smash Bros for Wii U has an official release date, will you be buying it?
Edit: Apparently, the December 5th release date mentioned is merely for the UK and Europe. Japan will be getting this game on December 5th, and it’ll be released in the US on November 21sth 2014 (right in time for Black Friday). We apologise for any confusion the post may have caused earlier.
It’s not often you hear this, but we’ve actually got a games console with an Australian release date announced before the US or European one! The New Nintendo 3DS (a more powerful 3DS model with extra RAM and a second analogue stick) is being released in Australia on the 21st of November 2013, just in time to coincide with the holiday season.
This was announced in a surprise Australian Nintendo Direct, which can be viewed below:
Either way, that’s probably good news for everyone in the US and Europe. After all, if the console is coming out in Australia this soon, then it makes perfect sense that it’ll also be coming out at around the same time in other regions.
But what do you think? Surprised at the early release date? Going to buy one on that date?
And in case you’re wondering while I’m bothering to cover a Pokemon anime movie and its release in the region, just get a load of this. How long do you think it’s been since the film was released anywhere else on the planet?
Come on, guess. Because if you think the delay between our favourite games getting released in Japan and them being released in other regions is kind of long, this takes the cake.
Give up? Okay then. This movie was released in almost all regions bar Korea in…
Take this with a grain of salt (since the only evidence is a blurry screenshot of Gamestop release date list and how stores tend to make wild guesses about release dates anyway), but Kirby Triple Deluxe may be being released on May 2nd 2014.
In Europe anyway, and the box art shown on this post’s thumbnail will be the cover design. Either way, you don’t have too much longer left to wait for the game’s release, and the box art that everyone loved from before is now confirmed to be the real deal too.
Want to play a new installment in the popular Yoshi’s Island series? Just want a new 2D platformer to play on the 3DS this year in general? Well, it seems you’re in luck then, since it’s now been confirmed that Yoshi’s New Island is going to be released in the US on March 14th 2013.
Or at least, drastically destroyed any chance of the game selling because of its release date? Because to be honest, I think so, for the simple reason that the January 2014 release is killing the game’s ‘appeal’. Read on to find out why.
Worried the next Super Smash Bros game was going to be delayed like so many others by Nintendo? Desperately wanting the game in your possession by the upcoming year? Well if so, it seems you should be in luck, since Masahiro Sakurai himself has actually stated that he ‘resolves to complete development of the new Super Smash Bros games and release them in 2014′.
