From the same issue of Coro Coro that brought us Mega Tyranitar and Mega Aggron, we finally get the first ever official artwork of the three fully evolved gen 6 starters, all by usual artist Ken Sugimori. Here are the pictures in question (albeit at the usual mediocre quality of a magazine scan):
They’re the evolved forms of Sprizee and Swirlix respectively, and are two new Fairy type Pokemon revealed for Pokemon X and Y by Ciao Magazine (a Japanese magazine about video games and manga). They’re both pure Fairy type.
Including some rather interesting changes to the game mechanics. Here’s the clearer version of the pages so you can see them better: Notice anything interesting here? How about better versions of the Pokemon X and Y box art? Or more interestingly… We can now walk diagonally! Pokemon has finally caught up with every other video game on the planet and lets up move in more than four basic compass directions! Above: The reign of the king who can’t walk properly is now over! There’s also some… interesting info about the Pokedex. Namely that the region has THREE Pokedexes, one for each part of the region. Yes, it’ll be split into the Central Karos Pokédex, Coastal Karos Pokédex and Mountain Karos […]
The next issue has apparently been leaked in advance of its typical release date, and people have found out what the new Pokemon announcements are. Here are the pages with said information: First of all, this one. Seems like it shows some new Pokemon, albeit basic ones that’ll likely be found quite early in the game. The other page is a bit more interesting though. Shows both the main characters in detail, as well as a picture of the region the game takes place in. This region is supposedly called Karosu (カロス地方) and it has a major city called Miare City (ミアレシティ) in the centre of it. It’s supposedly based on France, and one of the new Pokemon shown on […]
As you can see, there’s lots of awesome new screenshots here! Like the Polterpup jumping on Luigi and trying to steal his treasure and Luigi following invisible ghost dog pawprints across a wooden bridge! That’s new! Another page shows both the Boos and the Plant Mansion. Seems like you catch them in much the same way as in the first game by chasing them around and lowering their health bit by bit here, and that they can do things like go through walls. The Plant Mansion is shown too, seems like the ghosts are screwing with the water wheel and messing up the greenhouse. You can also now see that other types of money like coins, notes and gold […]
Just the one for the moment, the Japanese magazine this scan is from apparently only used two pages to cover the new Luigi’s Mansion game. Either way, here’s the new magazine scan pages showing more Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon screenshots: There’s not much that seems to be new here, but what there is seems to be interesting. For instance, what’s with that Professor E Gadd style statue in one of the mansion gardens? And why does it only appear when Luigi flashes it with the Darklight or whatever it’s called? Is Professor E Gadd up to something suspicious this time around? And what the heck is with the strange circular icon in the hallway screenshot? It looks exactly like the […]
Unfortunately it doesn’t show too much of the game, but there is what appears to ‘new’ or at least standalone official art of Mona and Kat there as well as a few screenshots, so it’s nice to have anyway. Here’s the scan: Not sure what the mini game with the pixel like stuff is, but I guess that’s the one associated with Kat and Ana. But what do you think? Is this new magazine scan interesting or anything?
Surprise, Coro Coro have announced a new Pokemon game is coming to the Wii U! Oh wait, it’s just a Pokemon Rumble sequel, not the expected RPG or Stadium style game. Either way, the latest issue of Coro Coro magazine have announced that Pokemon Rumble U is a new game that’s heading to Wii U soon, and that they have the first ever screens of it. Here’s a scan of the article in question about the new title: It will have all the Pokemon from generations 1 to 5 (no gen 6 Pokemon unfortunately, the game’s likely to be released before this October) and will be exclusive to the Wii U eShop as a download only title. Is this […]
From the same magazine that brought us the last few magazine scans showing the game, here’s another batch of pages showing more screenshots from Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon. Some aren’t particularly new and have seen before, but I think there’s enough new content here to dedicate a blog article to analysing it. First up is this page. As you can see, while the bottom two screenshots and the Luigi artwork seems to be old, the picture of the frying pan wielding ghost and of Luigi in the hallway are new. What’s Luigi tugging on in the picture to the top right? Because it looks like he’s trying to pull the curtain or tapestry off the wall to get to […]
This one shows less of King Boo, but it does show more pictures of the normal portrait ghosts and other elements of the game in general. Here’s the magazine scan in question: As you can clearly see, there’s some new areas shown from all the different mansions here, as well as all kinds of other interesting things made impossible to understand due to the text being in Japanese. Luigi’s Mansion Dark Moon, looking better and better by the day!
