Or at least, the Raquaza/Girantina/Kyurem equivalent of generation 6 anyway, who has now been located by one of the early game players in a mysterious cave like area. Who is it? Keep reading to find out!
It’s called Zygarde and is the Order Pokemon, a legendary that supposedly observes the ecosystem from within a cave deep beneath the Earth (or Pokemon World). It’s based on a creature in Norse mythology too, like Xerneas and Yveltal, and sort of acts as a balance to the other two. Here are some pictures showing it…
Reaction to this thing has been kind of mixed so far. On the one hand, a fair few people do have some sort of praise for its design given how it’s a weird dragon/snake creature with an asymmetrical appearance and a theme based on mythology. On the other… its typing and stats have received some criticism for being kind of lackluster and absolutely useless at actually countering either Xerneas or Yveltal (since one of its types is resisted by one and one resisted by the other). But that’s what appears to be the third main legendary Pokemon in the game, and the likely cover mascot for whatever sequels this game has. Maybe it’ll get a new form to make up for it.
What do you think? Are you a fan of this thing’s design and abilities? Or are you kind of underwhelmed by the whole thing?
