Bonus Boss Revealed in The Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds!

November 28th, 2013 by Nin3DS6 comments so far

Ever wondered what you’d get for completing all the StreetPass Shadow Link challenges in The Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds?  Or whether a bonus boss actually appeared in the game in any form?  If so, it turns out someone on GameFAQs has found the answer!

So who is this mystery opponent?  Keep reading to find out!

Answer?

It’s Gramps, the same guy you get the challenges from!  Yep, just watch this video by GameFAQs member JacobARF to see it for yourself!

He’s no wimp either!  Oh no, this unassuming village elder has 20 hearts, the red tunic, a copy of the Master Sword complete with sword beams, the Great/Hurricane Spin from Mother Maiamai and all the upgraded items (of which he uses two random ones in the fight)!  He’s a bonus boss in the same sense as the weapons from Final Fantasy, Culex from Super Mario RPG and the Master from Paper Mario, an absolutely deadly opponent who could probably take down the final boss by himself!

So yes, Gramps is the bonus boss in The Legend of Zelda A Link Between Worlds!  Good luck fighting him!

Holy hell, that is a killer theme! Has anyone uploaded it? The temple theme from Zelda 2 is one of my favorite themes.

No problem. I’m honoured you actually bothered to upload a video of this boss, since apparently no one else online did.

I guess it’s probably since not many people has completed the 50 challenges yet. Too bad I couldn’t upload the whole fight, but moving Link with your pinky finger, and slashing his sword with your index finger isn’t easy ;)
